About
Michael Williams
For 10 years, Michael Williams was Assistant Professor of Visual and Cultural Studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He now splits his time teaching at Emerson College, in Boston, Massachusetts, and RISD, in Providence, Rhode Island, and soon, Northeastern University, in Boston, Massachusetts. He earned a BA in Cultural Studies from Swarthmore College, and received an MA and a PhD in the Program in Visual and Cultural Studies at the University of Rochester. He has previously taught at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. His most recent book is Pervert-Schizoid-Woman (Cambridge, MA: Bleakswan Publications, 2016), and he is currently at work on three projects, tentatively titled Ruins of Capital, Perverse Relational Cinematic, and The Pervert's Manifesto. Tried, true, and occasionally blue, Michael spends quality time with those around him. He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
