andy pink, rochester, ny —
bitch from kansas — don't waste your long distance cell minutes. or can you afford an unlimited plan?
in other news: i'm reading this great selection of early althusser texts — primarily on hegel; totally fascinating, and a good counterpoint to zizek's work on hegel in 'the ticklish subject.' i'm not entirely sure that it's going to work for the capitalism project, but i might be able to pull out a few quotes. the ranciere book that i've written on — 'figures of history' — really is remarkable, and this play between the visible and the invisible, and the sensible and the insensible, while a trope in much continental work, including kant and hegel, is well done. it won't work for the capital project — except perhaps in the section on ideology — but it's a valuable read and makes me want to read more work by ranciere, who i had never read before, despite studying with him. shout out to the emeritus dominic lacapra of cornell uni!
was at the gym earlier, in jp, then to ula, with mike, who i just find adorable, and we had a perfect, including the word 'perfect,' interaction. he's kind of a punk guy, had a totally rad tee with a play on black flag, the band, which lisa remarkably wrote her dissertation on — it was the black flag logo but cut up a bit with 'black comb' — i like the guy. in a bit i might ask him out, for friends.
seeing psychiatrist wednesday and friday — sure to be fantastic conversations, which i secretly record and transcribe the best of later — then kate, then mike, then beacon hill at the ends of the soils of the day — my god, it's hot, good thing — contra reaction contra indicated contra contraband — i don't sweat in the heat.
peace in the midwest, sister,
wills
lisa thought two editions to the book — one textbook edition and one primary edition; i think it will cost more but i'm going to do it to save my soul — oh dear, what would the nuns think of such capitalist manipulation? speaking of — cecile! must write her back — but directly on the fact sheet? oh analysis (in)terminable — the book is awesome!
ps cousin mike of the brookline police dept — are you up for saturday breakfast at the ihop in brighton? you are a dear for following along with the fact sheet — love!
