Daily Living (2)

andy pink, living from montreal, quebec!

i'm up early, as usual, it's about 3:30am, watched a bit of the world series toronto-la game last night before i hit the pillow, the sox had their opportnity this yr, i hope they don't trade jarren in the off-season, and i suspect that the sox will bag bregman from free agency. i'm wonding if nail-painting casas will come back, i hope so, he's a character, most obviously gay — or if not, some permutation of new gender/sexuality — and he's a bit of a fan favorite, especially for us queer fans of the sox. dan and i are sure to go to a game next season — we try to go once every year — and our friendship is in renaissance mode, which is lovely.

things with jeremy are nice! he seemed to be in an especially good mood today, perhaps because i feigned (did) like the article that he assigned, light your love lamp, and perhaps he felt some appreciation from the academic side of things, as he made clear last week that he was not an academic, which was a good admission for him, without any disdain for that (my) modality of intellectuality. his article was in some ways silly, but i also thought that it raised some themes and topics that were important for us to raise, not the least, love. I think it was about a month ago that i mentioned, "haven't i made myself clear?" — but he was in a sour mood and didn't respond in any satisfactory way to that.

halloween plans are shaping up: i'll borrow the parking pass from jon down the street and connie will come about 4pm with the pumpkin carving set (!), the apple cider, and i will rejoin with non-chocolate candies (chocolate is toxic for dogs like Jeff), and maybe some dinner items, or we'll order door dash, we will carve the pumpkins, two. connie is going as wednesday of the addams family, and i am going as a j.crew model (which peter nicely pointed out is what i already am). i have to clean the house for her by friday (and possibly for rich), so that's a task for daily living (3).

things with my parents seem to be stable. my mom had obviously been drinking (white wine by the box) last night, so that was annoying, i scolded her. the cbd seemed to work once, but never again, and i will go back to cambridge naturals and try another product. the issue with the over-drinking is that she is annoying. it's hard to explain to her how annoying she is — or what the composition of the annoyance is — but it's tangible. but there has been no fall recently so i am grateful for that. note to self besides follow next note: write in the gratitude journal.

i was surprised by the image of jere. he does, as heidi says, have some type of swelling on the right cheek, it would be easy to think cancer. in any case, the beard is unexpected, she looks good in the pic, looks happy, but i'm glad i wasn't there, down under, i think i would have been awkward and uncomfortable, and i give heidi credit that she made the trip to melbourne. "piece of work," as she said via text.

this morning i have my appointment with my psychiatrist in lexington. she is very good. things have been stable for about 18 months, without a hitch, and the meds have been the same for about a year, no tweaks. i read the sinclair book for her — i've received recommendations from doctors before — and i suspect she will be pleased. getting to lexington without a car is a bitch, but it's only once a month. unfortunately, my vagina is leaking.

A few things that might be true about Michael:

  1. he grew up in Brookline (true)

  2. he was a drama god in high school (true)

  3. he's slept with a woman (true) (somehow)

  4. his sister is dead (true)

  5. his father is dead (true)

A few things that might be true about Rich:

  1. he does not have an ex-boyfriend

  2. he is a power bottom (is that the term?)

  3. his penis is unexpectedly vast

  4. he is surprisingly kind

  5. he's scared of the manic depression issue, which is the main stumbling block (so far); i can say this: you can break up with me — simply refuse a second date — if you find that this (non)issue is interfering.

rich: since you were a neighbor, i'm going to wager that you were an mit computer science (or such) major, learned hacking, lived over here in east cambridge, then moved to central camb (inman), and took the job at 1369. good for you, i find you intimidating and tall.

i will let you determine how/when we will meet. i'm out of ideas for our first date except for the road trip, which i think is a good one. daily living (1, 2, and beyond) is a good introduction. more facts about you would be helpful. i'll try to provide on my end.

peace in the east,

love andy p

this is yours:

ree
