jeremy came over last night, which was unexpected, and it was great, it's so nice to see him in a happy mood, often he can be sour and righteous, and then if i can get a word in swordwise i'm still unsatisfied with my unrequited contribution. he is just adorable, and i am grateful that i met and befriended him. he would ultimately be a good replacement for patrick — they are similar: tall, masculine, possibly straight, and sexy, with a kind of cynical but optimistic outlook. he got along swell with jeff last night (as he usually does), and he brought some second-hand homemade bisquits for the old boy, who enjoyed them. i massaged him a bit, and he returned the favor, and i thought about kissing him and trying to make out with him — he's interested — but i decided to let it go, at least for last night. our flirting can be so outrageous at true grounds in ball square (somerville, ma) that it's hard not to feel the sexual tension, but it's important to remember that he does after all sleep with his (ex-)wife, or in the same bed, and down the hall from his daughter. jeremy went to community college in tennessee, where he grew up, and joined the army, to pay off his student loans from school, and was in the first battalion that arrived in afghanistan after 9/11 — he said there was nothing there, ever there, and he just slept with some hookers and eventually came home debt free. he refers to my bathroom as a "military toilet," i'm not going to contest that, and we would make a swell couple, even if he is drawn into various conspiracies that rotate around depending on the day and his web surfing habits. he hates liberals, and knows that i am a radical, instead, and that this is appropriate for both of us.

rich is in a bind: he doesn't want me to be effusive about my feelings for him, but he is at the same time jealous of my romantic entanglement with jeremy (for example), or any number of boys that i regularly fall in love with. but the distinction with rich is that it was at first sight — maybe it was the faggot freakshow presentation of his body — so anyway he wants to hear it and doesn't, at the same time, want to read it. my lord, let's at least fuck, have a cigarette, and see what more we might want.
